Moon-Physiography
Moon is the queen of planetary system. It takes 27 days, and 7 hours and 43 minutes in transit of 12 signs or we can say a complete circle of 360 degrees.
In Physiography, we read that tides in the sea are caused by difference of attraction exerted by Moon and the centre of the Earth on the surface of water. The Moon attracts the sea water to itself causing tides and Sun hinders the action of Moon in lowering the tides. Tides are caused by the gravitational pulls of the Sun and the Moon. The Sun's influence on tides is less than half that of the Moon, because the Sun is too far away. When the Sun and the Moon are at right angles, as in the Moon's first and third quarters, the Sun acts as a counter balancing force and reduces the Moon's pull. During these periods we experience very low tides called neap tides.
Composition of sea water is a mixture of various salts. The Ocean covers 71% of the Earth's surface. The volume of blood in our body is about 5 liters. It is composed of plasma and cells. The plasma fluid portion of blood consists of 91% water and 9% solid products like proteins, salts, products of digestion and waste products. Normally blood is red when the oxygen content is high and bluish when is low. If we analyze the composition of blood, it is observed that blood contains nearly 80% sodium, 4% Calcium and 4% Potassium.
Analysis - If we take the percentage of different salts in sea water, it contains 77.8% sodium chloride, as against 80% sodium in human blood. Similarly, Calcium and Potassium are 2.7% each in sea water and human blood. Thus, having similar proportion.
Conclusion - Both are affected by the gravitational pull of the moon.
